| Sculpting is an artistic outlet for me, and I put my whole heart into every one of my creations. My artistry is self-taught and each sculpt that I do takes an eternity to create. Polymer clay is durable and strong and has been used in doll making for years by doll artists. Having the look of real skin tone, and the feel of porcelain, it is the perfect compound for sculpting art dolls. More shatter and chip resistant than ceramic or porcelain, it is the perfect medium for sculptures. Being very detail oriented, my continuing goal is realism. My tools are extremely small because I sculpt miniatures. The tools I use the most are: a razor, a very small sewing needle and a wet paint brush with about 9 hairs in it. The wet brush is used to push the soft clay around while sculpting, as many of my tools are too harsh. With babies, my goal is to achieve softness. In combination with very strong reading glasses, a lamp with high magnification is used so that I get every detail right. OOAK (One Of A Kind) No molds of any kind are ever used. My art dolls cannot be duplicated. They are true originals. "One Of A Kind" Each one that I make is the only one of it's kind. A special coloring technique is used before curing, which ensures that healthy baby glow. It is baked into the clay and will not fade over time. I only use Tibetan Lambs hair, and the tiny locks are applied individually. You will always receive a signed certificate of authenticity. Having always loved children...especially babies, I look to real photos of babies as a guide while I sculpt. I am truly inspired by my three grandchildren!
